Supportive process-focused group will address relationship issues, trust, intimacy and improving self-care for therapists in training. Designed for psychologically aware members who want to look closely at what is getting in the way of more meaningful, satisfying work and personal relationships. This group will be a safe place to:

  • Practice and learn how to express your needs in relationships.
  • Improve your self-confidence and self-esteem.
  • Discover the gift of compassion for yourself.
  • Improve your communication skills.

Professional Statement:

As a certified group psychotherapist I have been leading psychotherapy groups for over 28 years, as well as supervise, train and consult to therapists. I am a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Society, was a founding member of the National Registry of Group Psychotherapists, was President of Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society, In 2008 I was appointed Co-Chair the American Group Psychotherapy Association's Medical Illness Special Interest Group and was elected to the AGPA Board in 2012.
 I am currently a faculty member of The Psychotherapy Institute's Group Therapy Training Program where I led their first process training group,  was active as an Associate Clinical Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of California Medical School, San Francisco for 20 years, present regularly for the Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society, train group therapists, lecture at professional meetings nationally and locally, and write for consumers and therapists. I pioneered and have over 20 articles published about the Therapist’s Professional Will.

I specialize in relationship issues, chronic medical illness and use a blend of psychodynamic and systems orientation approaches.
