It is a small, close knit group, that focuses on getting sober, maintaining sobriety, and increasing one's ability to function at a higher level. It is insight oriented and includes help with both relational and interpersonal skills. No more than eight members at a time, this group will allow you to enter at your own pace. Andy has worked within the field of addiction and recovery for 22 years, both as a psychologist and a nutritionist. She received a masters degree in public health nutrition from the University of California, at Berkeley, in 1986, and practiced at UCB and in private practice for 17 years. She then returned to school and received her masters in counseling psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2002. She has been in private practice in Lafayette for the past 7 years. She specializes in addiction, depression, and related issues.
