Depression and anxiety can improve. Move forward with support. Most members notice some improvement within a few weeks and lasting change over time as they share honestly with others, decrease isolation, and change patterns that feed depression and anxiety.
This ongoing group offers support and skill building for members suffering with depression. In facilitating the group, I combine ongoing group connection with interpersonal skill development, cognitive behavioral concepts, mindfulness and the latest reserach on effective mood management.
The group is a welcoming space for diverse members and includes women of color, women who are straight and queer, and women from 30-70 yrs. of age. Women are insightful, supportive and growth oriented.
I specialize in the treatment of depression and group facilitation and have worked for Stanford, Herrick hospital, Family Paths and have done depression management groups for years in my private practice. If this group might be helpful, please call me for a free phone consultation.
Group meets WEDNESDAY 1:15-2:45. College Avenue near the Rockridge BART station. $80-$60 (sliding scale)
